Prague, July 2, 2026 – Following its recent strategic transformation, OMNIPOL Group is expanding its international activities and broadening its technology portfolio. A new specialized entity, OMNIPOL Airports, has been established under the key subsidiary OMNIPOL Defence. The new company fully integrates the capabilities of TRANSCON, a leader in the field of airport lighting technologies in the Czech Republic.
OMNIPOL Airports will focus on complete modernizations as well as the construction of new airports and heliports. The company will comprehensively cover the entire process: from initial studies and solution design, through the construction of runways, terminals, hangars, and associated infrastructure, to the delivery and integration of all necessary technologies and systems. The scope of delivery also includes final airport certification and comprehensive staff training. The customer thus receives a fully functional, turnkey solution from a single partner.
A key pillar of the company's strategy is the synergy with another subsidiary, ERA, a world leader in passive surveillance systems and air traffic management (ATM).
At the same time, the newly formed company builds on the manufacturing and development capacities of TRANSCON, a traditional Czech manufacturer specializing in the development and installation of airport airfield ground lighting (AGL). Among the brand's most significant references is the complete technological supply of systems for Václav Havel Airport Prague in Ruzyně.
Experience from Over 500 Airports in 73 Countries
In this segment, the OMNIPOL Group possesses significant experience spanning more than 500 airport infrastructures in 73 countries worldwide.
"As a group, we possess a strong technological background and high innovation potential within our own companies. However, to accelerate further development, it is crucial not to remain closed off. We therefore build the growth of the OMNIPOL Group on the ability to flexibly form strategic partnerships and consolidate forces with other recognized experts. By establishing OMNIPOL Airports, we demonstrate that we take proven domestic expertise, give it a global scale, and deliver the comprehensive solutions that the market demands," says Artem Movsesyan, CEO & Chairman of the Board, OMNIPOL Group.
Jiří Podpěra, CEO of OMNIPOL Defence, elaborates on his words, explaining the strategic benefit for both the defense and civil sectors: "Entering the market for modular airport systems is a natural evolution for us. By combining our group's international business reach with TRANSCON's unique know-how, we gain the ability to deliver complete airport systems literally on a turnkey basis. This flexible concept represents the future both for the rapid development of civil infrastructure and for the specific needs of mobile armed forces."
